Dear Colleagues,

Kung Hei Fat Choy

On behalf of the Executive Committee, I would like to wish our members, advisors, friends who have helped our Association all through the years, and their families a Very Happy Chinese New Year of the Horse and may the New Year be challenging, rewarding and fulfilling to them.

Our Association has undergone many changes in our structures and our Committees for the past thirty-five years. I find that the fundamentals have not changed, that is, our members are still very dedicated to the Association in keeping it alive and well. I hope that our members will find time in the coming year to attend our seminars, join the courses we jointly organize with various institutions and take part in our yearly academic and social events. We will try to make every event beneficial, educational and purposeful to them. I would like to thank our guest speakers in giving their precious after work hours to deliver wonderful, stimulating talks to our members.

In the coming year, there will be many Conferences being held around Asia and the world. I hope that our members will keep their eyes on our Newsletter and our Website, learn from them and communicate with our Website. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Website Master, Ms. Kathy Li and her co-workers who selflessly spend many endless hours of labour to mould our Website to where it is now, and that is not an easy task.

There are so many outstanding Committee Members whom we would like to thank for their devoted work towards our Association. One that comes to my mind is Mr. Arnold Foo, who has recently retired from his numerous posts in the Association, other major ones such as the Co-ordinator of the Training and Development Committee, Mr. YL Tsim, who stood in for Dr. K. Tsang, as the Chairman of the HKMTAQAP while Dr. Tsang was concentrating on his work and studies.

Finally, I would like to urge our members in the coming year to be ready for the challenges in our profession. Give our best efforts in our work. And be proud of your job. We are a part of the health-care team working for the people of Hong Kong.

Wishing everyone a Very Happy Chinese New Year.
